3000 mile feasibility

E-mail Print PDF

I've been giving some thought to whether or not my goal of 3000 miles is feasible or not.  Last year I managed to churn out close to 1500 miles from June to the end of the year.  Not bad for seven months!  At least for me.  To reach 3000, the rough math says I need to do about sixty miles a week to reach my goal.  The consistency portion of this is what may get me.  My rides tend to be sporadically spaced when I'm stuck indoors.  When riding outside, I can probably hit my weekly quota with just one weekend ride!

Yeah...  I can't wait until it gets warm again.  Even with the cold weather clothing I have, I don't really want to trash the chain and bearings on my bike with the salt currently on the ground.  Wish we could move to a warmer climate...  =P
