
This is an arancini. It is a glorious food. Simple and delicious to eat. After all, its in the shape of an orange. This particular one comes from the foodie alchemists kitchen of Pasta Fresh. Deep in that brightly lit and spacious kitchen is some Italian or Sicilian grandma lovingly molding these in well practiced hands. This one food may undermine my entire drive for a rippling six pack... I ate this tennis ball sized arancini for lunch today. Oh my... The exquisitely thin and fried crust that disguises the smooth texture of the rice is such a tease. Your eyes expect a crunch, but instead you are rewarded with a mouthful of Arborio reminiscent of risotto. Another bite or two later, and you reach the ragu and its gooey cheese...
I want another.
